Sommario

Abstract
ISAAC antisismica is an italian start-up based in Milan, founded in 2018, which proposes itself as a reference player in the construction market for the supply of smart technologies for seismic protection and monitoring of buildings and infrastructures. It has developed I-Pro 1, the first active control system of the seismic response, distributed in the European market, that allows to significantly improve the global behavior of structures subject to seismic events. The system is installed on the floor of the building with non-invasive interventions, thus allowing to maintain the architectural heritage of the building and providing neglegible disturbance to the residents of the building subject to retrofit.
In order to check the efficiency of this innovative technology, ISAAC tested the active control system I-Pro 1 by comparing the behavior of two full-scale buildings built at the EUCENTRE laboratories in Pavia and subjecting them to a seismic event on a shaking table (the campaign called #TERREMOTOISAAC).
This paper shows the operating principle of the device, the experimental campaign performed and the elaboration of the numerical models representative of the dynamic response measured by means of a FEM software, Midas Gen. Finally, the software tool developed by ISAAC is presented. It is a plug-in of the software SAP2000, aimed at the seismic design of structures equipped with active control systems such as I-Pro 1.
